I've been a Renoise user for, damn, maybe 9 or 10 years now. Also, they don't want you to see they are using presets and samples from reknown collection (:D)Īlso, it's really hard having a sense of community if all people do if spam their soundcloud… just sayin' bro, musicians are mostly self-centered. Most people won't share their xrns files, for the reasons they are using way too much VST(i)s and it gets complicated. I guess it's not what it used to be, mostly because of facebook ruining the world. The real renoise community is on the board. I remember stories about label owners, who had no clue about music production, saying they wouldn't sign artists using trackers because trackers were cheating (don't ask) It's probably an idea that has come from many misunderstanding plus, probably some jealous producers who thought you had to have a real home studio in order to make "real music". It's a tracker and the situation is already better than 20 years ago where signed tracker artists were hiding the fact they used a tracker. I'm a renoise person for 12 years (or so? I think I started end of 2003) and renoise never got enough love and will never get.
